Ffion Dafis is an experienced and unique saxophonist.  Having gained a MA in Music Performance at  the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and a BA in performance from Leeds College of Music, she is fluent in many genres such as jazz, classical, folk, rock and pop.  Ffion has performed in a range of diverse ensembles such as quartets, wind bands, big bands, quintets and octets around Wales, Leeds and Manchester. As well as working as a solo musician for weddings and events.

She has had the pleasure of playing as a soloist in master classes with influential musicians such as Otis Murphy, Lynn Clock and Nigel Wood, learning innovative styles of playing and advanced techniques. She has been taught by Sarah Markham, Lara James, and Gerard McChrystal.

Performance highlights include performing solo soprano saxophone with Karl Jenkins and the Ariosa choir for the Macmillan trust and giving a recital with pianist Dorothy Wilson for the Lampeter Music Society. As well as playing at the Palace Theatre, Manchester and a wide range of venues across the UK.
